Which residency route could fit you?
Tell our AI assistant about your plans for Cyprus. Explore possible routes, understand what matters and prepare your next steps with our trusted partners.
Let’s explore your options.
Share your citizenship, work plans and whether family members are moving with you. Broad details are enough. AI guidance is preliminary; our qualified partners can confirm the right route.

Which routes are worth discussing?
Answer a few broad questions. This checklist runs in your browser and gives preliminary information, not a legal eligibility decision. No passport numbers, names or documents are needed.
Your starting points
These results do not confirm eligibility, work permission or application approval. Family-member routes, existing residence rights, Brexit protections, study and digital-nomad options may require a separate assessment.
Discuss these options with CyprusMoveStart with your circumstances.
Nationality, work plans, resources and family status can change the route you need. These four options are a starting point, not an exhaustive list.
Pink Slip
A temporary visitor residence route for people who can support their stay without relying on employment in Cyprus.
- Discuss your income, accommodation and insurance.
- Do not assume it permits local work or remote business activity.
- Application and renewal requirements must be checked for your household.
Yellow Slip
The MEU1 registration certificate for qualifying EU/EEA citizens. It is registration under free-movement rules, rather than a temporary visa.
- Employment, self-employment or sufficient resources may provide a basis.
- Insurance requirements depend on your circumstances.
- Non-EU family members need their own route assessed.
Work Permit
For non-EU nationals pursuing an appropriate residence and employment permission, with the employer and job assessed under the relevant category.
- A job offer and employer requirements matter.
- Company formation alone does not grant work rights.
- Business owners and remote workers need tailored advice.
Fast Track Permanent Residency
An investment-based route for qualifying non-EU applicants under Regulation 6(2), subject to investment, income and other criteria.
- A qualifying investment starts at €300,000; rules differ by investment type.
- Secure annual income starts at €50,000, with additions for dependants.
- Buying any property does not automatically qualify you.
